When I ordered this book (advertised as, "Of Mice and Men (en anglais) John Steinbeck"), it was such a small purchase that I didn't go beyond the initial advert on the Amazon search engine to discover that, far from being the book by John Steinbeck, it was in fact a book by another author (or authors) : the person (or people) who produce York Notes. (I don't think Steinbeck would have produced his own York Notes?) So while it may have some connection with the product I wanted to order, it was not the product itself. How did this happen? The photo of the book cover was a "false" one, and the distinctive, quickly trecognisable York Notes cover only appears when you click for further information. I've written to complain, and await a response, but it'll be back to the bookshops for me, where you can physically put your hands on the book you want to buy without having your time wasted like this. A copy of the "false" cover is attached (hopefully they'll have changed the cover photo before long)...

On pourrait croire qu'il s'agit du roman de J Steinbeck mais en fait il n'en est rien. Le livre est un commentaire du roman. Nous avions besoin du roman. Donc ce livre ne nous sert à rien. Rien dans le descriptif ne nous permettait de comprendre qu'il ne s'agissait pas du roman de Steinbeck.
